Collaboration with higher education institutions
Lahti Science Park is owned by the City of Lahti, LAB University of Applied Sciences and the University of Helsinki Funds.
Basically, we could be called a platform for education, research, development and cooperation. In addition to the goal of carbon neutrality, the strategy of the City of Lahti includes three themes that the Lahti Science Park Goes Science project also seeks to promote:
- Unlimited opportunities for success
- Horizons for a good life
- Courage and ambition to reach high
At Lahti Science Park, we develop our operations sustainably. In addition to LAB, our facilities house the Lahti University Campus, which encompasses the University of Helsinki and LUT University, forming a scientific community of some 200 experts in Lahti. Education is also provided by the Päijät-Häme Summer University, as well as JunnuYliopisto and the Päijät-Häme LUMA Centre, which provide leading Finnish science education in Wing B.
Our facilities are home to around 60 companies and operators that are interested in collaborating with students of higher education institutions. In turn, the companies and operators are of interest to students.
